Byron Bay is exactly how I had imagined.. It had a very hippyish vibe and was completely different from anywhere we'd been in Australia before. We had booked a surf lesson before we arrived with Mojo Surf. The sea was so rough which meant they had to take us out separately and it was loads of fun, but seriously hard work after 0 exercise whilst travelling and Christmas just before... We watched both sunset and sunrise at Byron. We didn't do a whole lot else with our time in Byron other than wander around and explore..
