Phnom Penh

Previous Stop: Siem Reap - bus
Duration: 2 days
Accommodation: G Adventures Hotel
Next Stop: Sihanoukville - bus

We arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital city where we would be spending the next 2 nights. Whilst we were in Phnom Penh we visited S21 which was a school, turned prison during the Pol Pot regime, our guide was very informative during our visit. It was very difficult to see and shocking that it was only 30 years ago. We then went to The Killing Fields it was very emotional and overwhelming with bones on the surface of the ground and having to step over items of clothes.

After spending some time back at the hotel, feeling emotionally drained we headed out for dinner at somewhere our tour guide recommended, Friends (#1 TripAdvisor) The restaurant helps at risk children to scope their future. We got to choose some tapas which was honestly delicious and somewhere I would definitely recommend! The next morning we packed up and had a cyclo tour around the city which was super fun if not a bit scary being cycled around on the crazy Cambodian streets!

(Sorry not many photo's from Phnom Penh as I didn't take any on the first day)
